Buescher True Tone Curved Soprano

Our client purchased this little curved soprano off of eBay for a great price. We knew before-hand that it would need to be completely restored, but the customer trusted us because we had previously restored a beautiful Big B alto for them.

The original condition was well-worn, with lots of plating loss, but with great structural integrity. It was the perfect candidate for a restoration. The body and keys was prepared for plating with hours of hand work. We chose to do the complete plating job in-house because of the size of the instrument. Modifications included adding a new octave vent and installing a C-Bar.

The Buescher curved sopranos play beautifully when regulated correctly. Correct key heights are imperative. Plus, tuning can be further improved with judicious application of certain tone hole liners. The result was a stunning saxophone that plays as good as it looks.
